She sets a series of colors and gestures into motion on the metal, then, through grinding, scraping and burnishing, uncovers the resulting composition.

The addition of Misa's signature lustrous patina pigments layer a baffling element of light and color into the painting's surface, allowing a shifting, changing experience for the viewer.

Patinas allow Misa to create infinite variations of light patterns that are not repeatable. These patterns are intentionally designed by specific colors, shapes, movement, overlays and texture.

Grinded lines and patinas under certain light, cast a sheen that awakens us from our slumber.
