Seventh Chakra

The seventh chakra is the violet crown, located just behind the top of the

skull. This “soul-star” represents enlightenment, dynamic thought, wisdom,
and cosmic consciousness. It is the place where life animates the physical
body. The sahasrara, also known as the “thousand-petaled lotus,” is often
portrayed as rays of light emanating from the brain and uniting us with
our Source. This is the realm of “ineffable mystical experience” — that
which cannot be expressed in words, or imparted to others, but can only
be experienced. It is said that such “great souls” as Buddha, Krishnamurti,
Rumi, Gandhi, Yogananda, Carl Jung, and the mystic, William Blake, were
all immersed in this dimension of glory, spirit-vision, and divine ecstasy —
bodhisattvas, those who seek awakening, in love with God.
